The first all cargo route from Chengdu to Africa is operated by Ethiopian Airlines. The inaugural flight took off from Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on the afternoon of August 31st, heading to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. It will depart from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport the next morning and return to Addis Ababa.

 

In addition to the highly anticipated maiden flight, Ethiopian Airlines has also signed a cargo development cooperation agreement with Shuangliu International Airport. According to the agreement, the "Chengdu Addis Ababa" full cargo route will be encrypted to three flights per week, operated by Boeing B777F cargo planes. The route mainly exports various cross-border e-commerce products and intelligent electronic products, and the return cargo mainly includes aircraft accessories.
